Limassol Mud and Bulk plant –2017
A team of two 3B Supervisors travelled to Limassol, Cyprus, assigned to the building of an LMP and Bulk Plant, where we led a local crew of up to 20 personnel throughout the duration of the project. The project commenced with the installation of 24 off 300bbl barrow swift mobile tanks, 2 off 500bbl mix tanks, and a centrifuge. On the bulk side, 3off cement silos with a capacity of 240m³ and 2 off cement silos with a capacity of 360m³.
On arrival in Limassol there was an empty slab where all the equipment was to be erected. The 3B team measured up and marked out where all equipment would be placed, saving time and money when craning each item in to position.
To start with, our team craned the bottom row of tanks into place, before connecting the pipework, platforms and spacers. The top layer of tanks were then installed and secured and pipework for the two main pumps began. 3B were responsible for the design, fabrication and the safe installation of all the pipework for the pumps.
Work then started on the bulk system; top and tailing the silos and placing them accurately in position. Again, 3B were responsible for the design, fabrication and the installation of all pipework for the silos, cutting pods, surge tanks and dust collectors.
In addition, the 3B team installed the centrifuge and all pipework, 2 off compressors, air dryers and pipework, laboratory, master control centre, airlines, access walkways and platforms, emergency showers, vega radars etc.
An 80m pipe was run from the Quayside down a purpose-built trench and on to a floating barge to allow for import and export of the products to the client, which was designed, built and installed by our team.
The project was completed within 2 months from start to finish, including all required electrical work and painting, and was successfully delivered within budget and on time.
